Letter from the Campaign Committee

Dear Friends--

WONDERFUL CHANGES are underway in South Philadelphia! The Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia is an organization on the move. Yet, there is more to be done if we are to realize our potential.

We have launched the Building a Better South Philadelphia Community Capital Campaign to raise funds for a major renovation of the second floor of our South Center located at 2416-18 South 7th Street.

In order to bring much-needed services and programs to the underserved population in this limited resource area, and meet all building codes, it is crucial that we renovate this space. Once completed, an entire new second floor will permit expansion of successful programs and services offered to youth and adults that are mostly available in our North Philadelphia Office.

The second floor will provide about 720 square feet of offices and meeting space where we can provide a variety of educational and social services, including ESL/Citizenship Class programs for adults and leadership development for at-risk youth in South Philadelphia. Thus far, the first floor of our South Center has been successfully renovated and utilized for educational programming for young children, grades K-6.

We believe that for a community to thrive, individuals – both young and old need access to valuable resources and a building that provides a haven to community residents in this area.

If you would like to help build an even stronger South Philadelphia community, please consider making a contribution to the Campaign. We invite you to read on and learn more about this Campaign.

Sincerely yours,

The Campaign Committee
