Addressing Gun Violence In & Ethnic Intimidation Towards Philadelphia's Southeast Asian Communities
CAGP is committed to amplifying the voice and visibility of Cambodian and Southeast Asian American community members impacted by the violence in our city. We seek to address the impacts of gun violence and ethnic intimidation toward the Southeast Asian community through offering space for community members to share their stories and experiences with violence; providing multi-generational programming and safety workshops; connecting accessible resources and supports that address fear and trauma; uplifting the voices of our community in these matters as equal stakeholders; collaborating with other community partners committed to this work; and by expanding the work of violence prevention, intervention, and healing into all of CAGP’s programs and services. As we contribute our piece of the puzzle in the issues of violence, we also aim to partner across ethnic, racial, and cultural lines to uplift the voices of all within our community.
